Prenuptial Agreements
A written contract is not the first thing you consider when considering getting married (and nor should they be!). However they are very useful in setting certain things straight from the off, particularly where each person comes into the relationship with differing levels of wealth.

English law has allowed cohabiting couples to make binding agreements but as soon as they marry the law intervened and took away any certainty.

Recent case law suggests there are signs that this is changing, with Judges being prepared to take them into account when deciding a case.

We would now go as far as to recommend that couples wishing to marry, but who also wish preserve their assets, enter into a Prenuptial Agreement.
