Cohabitation
An increasing number of people choose to live together either in hetero
or
homo sexual partnerships or just for companionship.
Of course from the 21st December 2005 the gay community may form Civil Partnerships
which are in most ways identical to marriage. This however leaves a substantial
number of couples virtually outside the law; namely cohabiting heterosexuals.
However the Law can help a great deal with cohabitation agreements and Wills
whilst you are still living together and with advice and Court proceedings
if a
break -up should happen.
Our policy is always to try and resolve difficulties by negotiation and
not to
stoke the fires of discord.
