Solicitor Direct is the brainchild of Derek Forrest a solicitor formerly with the largest firm in Preston. He wanted to combine an interest in technology with a belief that the law is there to benefit ordinary people who need open access to legal advice.

Derek is a long-standing member of the Preston Law society; The Solicitors Family Law Association and a founder member of the Motor Accidents solicitor Society and has been a criminal duty Solicitor since the beginning.

He is a frequent broadcaster and contributes to radio and newspapers including the Jimmy Young show; Radio 5; Channel 5 and The World Tonight, plus many appearances on local radio.
